For example, you might ask, "What if we completely eliminated the use of paper in our office?" This could lead to new ideas about how to reduce paper use or find alternatives to paper.

  • Redefinition: This involves looking at a problem in a different way by redefining the terms or parameters of the problem. For example, if you are trying to solve a problem related to traffic congestion, you might consider redefining the problem as one of inefficient use of space rather than too many cars on the road. This could lead to new ideas about how to better use the space available for transportation.
